The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) has a career opportunity within the Public Health and Safety Division in Helena.
This position provides leadership and coordination in the development, implementation, and monitoring of the State Health Assessment and State Health Improvement Plan (SHIP). Works closely with leadership in the Public Health and Safety Division and other Divisions throughout DPHHS, and external partners to plan for collective action towards improving population health. Communicates directly with partners and stakeholders to support system improvements and build capacity to accomplish shared goals. Monitors and maintains the PHSD’s Strategic Plan and provides technical assistance to support strategic planning that alights with the SHIP for DPHHS programs and partners.

Qualifications for this Career Opportunity
- Knowledge of organizational strategic planning.
- Ability to develop and implement project work plans with minimal supervision.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to coordinate and facilitate strategic planning processes.
- Meet minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, project management, or a related field.
- Five years of experience in strategic/organizational planning or related work.
- Other combinations of directly related education and experience may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
