Special Information:

This position will be based in the upper Blackfoot River drainage, and work Monday-Friday. Other workdays will arise as needed, these additional workdays might include special events, select weekends, holidays. Typically, 8 hours per day for 40 hours work week. This position will require frequent travel, some participation in meetings and trainings that are critical for success in duties and responsibilities. Incumbent must be able to work outdoors on uneven mountain forest terrain under adverse weather conditions and irregular hours. At times, this work will be accomplished without immediate supervision. The incumbent must be in in good overall physical condition, enough to withstand the rigors and demands of the necessary work. The incumbent must be a team player who is willing to be flexible and responsive to minor scheduling changes that are necessary for the whole team to be successful in meeting demands of the site visitors. The position will begin in early May and will continue through September. This position will be based near on of the Mountains most wonderfully scenic mountain communities, Seeley Lake and Ovando, with small town charm and close-knit community that is neatly nestled in a pristine mountain valley where outdoor recreational opportunities abound.

 

Job Duties:

This position is a Groundskeeper position that provides daily FAS site cleaning and maintenance at Browns Lake, Cedar Meadow, Harry Morgan, River Junction, Monture Creek, Upsata Lake, Russel Gates Memorial, Harpers Lake, Clearwater Crossing, Clearwater 6 Stalls.

 

The duties of this position will vary dependent upon conditions but will generally be required to perform basic maintenance and janitorial duties on Fishing Access Sites, grounds and facilities, collect fees, grounds upkeep and maintenance, clean latrines, clean and maintain all individual campsites, assist in other routine FAS responsibilities as needed. General public interface will be constant and demanding, incumbent needs to be socially prepared with food communication skills.  

Minimum Qualifications (Education and Experience):

Incumbent should have the knowledge and skills to work with various types of hand tools and equipment. 

Must have the interest and ability to work with the general public.
