The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) has a career opportunity as a Food Service Worker at the Montana Mental Health and Nursing Care Center.

 

The Montana Mental Health Nursing Care Center (MMHNCC) in Lewistown is a licensed residential facility for the long-term care and treatment of persons who have mental disorders and who require a level of care not available in the community.

Food Preparers: Food Prep Workers help prepare meals, nourishments, and snacks for residents with mental health disorders in a State of Montana long term care facility.   Under direction of the Food Service Supervisor and Head Cook food is prepared and served to provide the nutrition and a pleasant dining experience for residents, while meeting the standards and regulations set forth by the Department of Health, Medicaid, and dietary guidelines.

Qualifications for this Career Opportunity

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (Behaviors):  

Required for the first day of work:

·         Working knowledge of kitchen sanitation, safety & equipment.

·         Ability to establish & maintain effective working relationships with co-workers/residents.

·         Ability to follow instructions.

·         Ability to effectively communicate with others.

·         Ability to maintain a clean and safe environment.

Minimum Qualifications (Education and Experience):

·         High school diploma/ or equivalency 

·         No prior work experience required
