The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) has a career opportunity within the Office of inspector General.
This position conducts quality control reviews of eligibility determinations made for Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) and Medicaid. This position also organizes, tracks and monitors the PERM Federal audit including information requests, resolution of errors, and maintains PERM data.

Qualifications for this Career Opportunity
- Knowledge of researching and interpreting public assistance policies and regulations.
- General Knowledge of compliance, audit functions and data research principles.
- Ability to gather, verify, and analyze eligibility and financial data.
- Knowledge of public assistance eligibility and related computer systems.
- Meet minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, human services or related degree.
- Two years’ experience determining or reviewing public assistance eligibility.
- Equivalent combinations of directly related education and experience may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Additional Information
This position may be eligible for partial telework within the state of Montana. Specific conditions will be provided by the supervisor and must adhere to state policy.
This position may be eligible for a statutory $1.00 an hour base pay increase effective July 1, 2025 and July 1, 2026.
