JOB OVERVIEW – This position makes the criminal justice system more accessible to victims of crime by providing comprehensive advocacy and support.

• The Victim Witness Coordinator provides comprehensive services to victims, their families, family members of offenders, and witnesses participating in parole hearings.
• This position requires presence in hearings to account for dispositions, victim and witness statements.
• This position develops and conducts trainings for service-agencies, community-based programs and criminal justice personnel. The victim witness coordinator also works in collaboration with other victim service and criminal justice agencies.
• This position's primary responsibilities are to assist victims of crime, protect and advocate for the rights of victims, provide necessary information and prevent further victimization.
