The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) has a career opportunity within the HCFD/MMHNCC.
Job Overview: This position purchases items, receives orders and delivers supplies to the business, nursing, dietary, housekeeping, and laundry departments and residents of the Nursing Care Center. The position is responsible for: 1) Food orders for Menu Cycle; 2) Ordering and delivering supply orders for the facility; 3) Receiving incoming freight and stocking storerooms; and 4) Maintaining computer inventory system of stock items and equipment.
Major Duties or Responsibilities: The supply clerk assist the Purchasing Agent with orders and delivers supply items for various departments. Identifies and orders low stock items and new item request. Research and analyze cost-effective methods for all purchase orders. Unloads delivery trucks, and checks freight items against order and invoice to ensure accuracy. Rotates stock to ensure first in - first out expiration dates. Counts, assigns stock numbers to all medical supplies delivered to the facility to provide inventory control. Cleans and organizes storerooms and freezers. Conducts annual inventory count of all other supplies and equipment to account for facility usage.

Qualifications for this Career Opportunity
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (Behaviors):
Required for the first day of work:
- General accounting practices, business communications, and records management
- Microsoft Office products (word, excel)
- Communicating effectively both verbally and in writing.
Minimum Qualifications (Education and Experience):
The above knowledge, skills and abilities are typically acquired through a high-school diploma AND two years job related work experience in a customer service environment. Other alternatives of education and experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Physical and Environmental Demands: Working conditions are in an institution for mental disease. Must be able to interact in a positive manner with staff and residents. Walking, standing, bending, kneeling, pushing, pulling and lift up to 50 pounds.
