The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) has a career opportunity within the Rural Health Transformation Program.

 

Increasingly, EMS providers are called to support individuals with chronic disease and social service needs in addition to their normal emergency care responsibilities.

 

With guidance from the EMS System Manager, the Community Integrated Health / Community Paramedicine (CIH/CP) Specialist works with internal and external stakeholders to develop quality improvement tactics and adopt or create education tools and opportunities for their CIH initiatives, as well as for the strategies outlined in the Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP) regarding CIH/CP.

Qualifications for this Career Opportunity

 

  • Knowledge of public health program management principles and practices.

  • Ability to research, develop, and implement public health interventions.

  • Ability to prepare reports, presentations, and other communication for the program.

  • Meet minimum qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in public administration, health education, health science, or other behavioral or social science related fields.

    • Two years job-related public health program experience, including contracts and direct training experience.

    • Experience writing and managing grants preferred.

    • Other combinations of directly related education and experience, including EMS experience, may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

This position may be eligible for partial telework within the state of Montana. Specific conditions will be provided by the supervisor and must adhere to state policy.
