The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) has a career opportunity within the Behavioral Health & Developmental Disabilities Division/ Developmental Disabilities Program.
This position assists with State Plan and Medicaid rules, systems of care and special projects. Responsibilities include administering and maintaining state plans, waiver amendments, and administrative rules; adhering to federal and state requirements and reporting; developing and maintaining communication with providers, stakeholders, other divisions, and departments, and participating in workgroups; implementing and reviewing quality indicators and completing quality assurance reviews. This position will take on special projects due to the addition of new programs or funding by the Montana Legislature, the Centers for Medicare, and Medicaid Services (CMS), or at the direction of the department. Special project management could include initial research, development, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of projects.

Qualifications for this Career Opportunity
- General knowledge of developmental disabilities services, systems, and community resources.
- General knowledge of fiscal and program management principles.
- General knowledge of service delivery and reimbursement systems.
- Knowledge of research and policy analysis principles.
- Meet minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in human services, health administration or a related field.
- Two years of professional experience in health care, public health, or general program management.
- Experience with Medicaid is preferred.
- Other combinations of directly related education and experience may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
