Occupational Health Nurse

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (Behaviors): 

Required for the first day of work:

• Knowledge of medical practices and nursing procedures.
• Knowledge of human resource principles and practices related to worker’s compensation
• Strong writing skills including knowledge of the structure and content of the English language, the meaning and spelling of the words, rules of competition and grammar.
• Ability to research, compile, and analyze data from multiple sources to identify and resolve a wide variety of issues and problems. 
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Strong presentation skills.
• Ability to coach and motivate others to improve their knowledge and skills.
• Ability to be understanding and remain nonconfrontational, while maintaining focus, demeanor and composure in dealing with individuals with differing points of view.
• Ability to use software programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
• Well organized with good attention to detail.

Minimum Qualifications (Education and Experience):

·         Registered Nurse – BSN Preferred

·         Minimum of three years clinical nursing experience

·         Prior Occupational Health or similar experience preferred

·         Other combinations of education and experience may be considered on a case by case basis.
