The Grievance Coordinator will take on expanded responsibilities to support increasing operational demands within the grievance process. This position will oversee grievance functions for the Mississippi facility, respond to and serve formal grievances, and ensure all procedural requirements are consistently followed. The role will also provide clear explanations of the grievance process to offenders and coordinate with external departments and agencies as needed. In addition, the Compliance Specialist may be required to testify in court regarding grievance procedures.
These enhanced duties represent a shift from a primarily administrative support role to a more advanced, process‑driven position with greater accountability. As grievance volumes continue to grow across facilities, this expanded role is essential to maintaining efficiency, compliance, and timely grievance resolution. The Compliance Specialist will play a key part in strengthening workflow, supporting staff, and ensuring the integrity of the grievance process across multiple locations.
QUALIFICATIONS
The knowledge, skills and abilities for this position are typically acquired through a combination of education and experience equivalent to:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field.
- Three years of directly related work experience.
Alternative combinations of education and experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
