Data Systems Analyst

What are we looking for?

Education and Experience: 

• A Bachelor’s degree in a computer science related field; and

• Two years’ experience working in a variety of database environments; or

• Alternate combinations of education and experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Preference will be given to candidates with specific experience in:

• Relational database management systems (RDMS) such MS SQL Server or Oracle.

• Database administration, content management, automation, business rule enforcement, web design and development, and performance optimization techniques.

• 508 compliance measures and implementation strategies

Competencies:

Knowledge of:

• System content performance optimization and management techniques. 

• Principles and practices of information systems analysis, design, implementation, maintenance, and security related functions.

Ability to:

• provide exceptional customer service and enjoy working in a team environment.

• build trust and credibility in constructing effective working relationships with a variety of individuals.

• manage varying deadlines and multiple projects; responding positively to changes in direction, priorities, responsibilities or assignment.

• keep large projects, involving multiple parties, moving forward and delivered on time.

• provide guidance and instructions to other agency staff.

• evaluate program requirements relative to systems development; conduct research; exercise sound judgment in solving programs and make decisions where few precedents exist

• Exhibit a commitment to stay up-to-date in the IT profession.

• Organize a dynamic workload and meet established deadlines.
