Compliance Accountant

What are we looking for?

The ability to:

• Provide exceptional customer service

• Plan, organize, gather information, and problem solve

• Demonstrate strong attention to detail and critical thinking

• Apply principles and practices of accounting and budgeting

• Conduct technical research related to accounting, reporting, and auditing

• Creation and maintenance of financial reporting tools and templates

• Analysis and review of financial reports, audits, and corrective action plans

• Provide training to small and large groups

Education and Experience: 

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting. OR

• Other combinations of education and experience will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.

General Knowledge of:           

·         Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

·         Generally Accepted Governmental Auditing Standards (GAGAS)

Specialized Knowledge of (we are willing to train you in these areas):

·         Governmental accounting, auditing, financial statements, and budgeting

·         Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) statements

·         Federal Office of Management and Budgets (OMB)

·         Governmental accounting, auditing, financial statements, and budgeting

·         State Social Security rules and regulations
