What are we looking for?
The ability to:
Provide exceptional customer service
Strong communication skills (exercise discretion and diplomacy in all situations)
Build and maintain successful working relationships
Plan, organize, gather information, and problem solve
Demonstrate strong attention to detail and critical thinking
Apply principles and practices of accounting and budgeting
Conduct technical research related to accounting, reporting, and auditing
Creation and maintenance of financial reporting tools and templates
Analysis and review of financial reports, audits, and corrective action plans
Provide training to small and large groups
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting. OR
Other combinations of education and experience will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
General Knowledge of:
· Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
· Generally Accepted Governmental Auditing Standards (GAGAS)
Specialized Knowledge of (we are willing to train you in these areas):
· Governmental accounting, auditing, financial statements, and budgeting
· Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) statements
· Federal Office of Management and Budgets (OMB)
· Governmental accounting, auditing, financial statements, and budgeting
· State Social Security rules and regulations
