Qualifications for this Career Opportunity
Knowledge of the challenges and opportunities individuals with disability face with employment, independence, and equality including general understanding of the types of disabilities served, challenges of disability types, challenges of employment and independence, supports required, and cultural challenges.
Ability to develop strategies to address conflicts, problems, resource limitations, and achieve objectives.
Comprehensive understanding of disability inclusion principles and the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Section 504, and Section 508 as they relate to meetings, events, and public programs.
Meet minimum qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in human services or public administration or a related field and at least 3 years progressively responsible professional experience in a disability program.
Experience in a disability program is strongly preferred.
Program management experience is preferred.
