The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) has a career opportunity as a Certified Nurse Aide at the Montana Mental Health and Nursing Care Center.

 

The Montana Mental Health Nursing Care Center (MMHNCC) in Lewistown is a licensed residential facility for the long-term care and treatment of persons who have mental disorders and who require a level of care not available in the community.

 

Certified Nurse Aides (CNAs) assist residents with daily living activities. Responsibilities include: 1) assisting the residents with basic hygiene such as bathing, oral hygiene, and dressing; 2) performing health related tasks such as taking and recording vital signs, collecting specimens, and assisting in emergency situations; and 3) transports the residents to appointments assisting as needed. Work schedules vary by availability and may include shift differential pay.

Qualifications for this Career Opportunity

 

  • Ability to communicate information and follow instructions explicitly both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to make observations and report/record accurately.
  • Develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others, maintaining them over time.
  • Basic knowledge of personal hygiene.
  • Meet minimum qualifications:
    • High School Diploma or equivalent.
    • Valid Montana Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification.
    • Two years of job-related experience working with other people in a healthcare setting or group home.
