JOB OVERVIEW - This position is assigned to the Montana State Prison within the Case Management section of the Rehabilitation and Programs Division; a division of the Department of Corrections which is responsible for adult corrections statewide. 

• The Case Manager is a position designed specifically to address and support using case management skills: appropriate institutional behavior, programming, education, treatment, individual program directives, release planning, system risk and transition services for inmates. 
• Case Manager’s duties include but are not limited to case planning, prioritizing, and managing caseloads, release planning, classification of offenders, motivational interviewing, conducting risk assessments and facilitating groups related to specific needs of the population (Victims Impact or career path group types).

The hourly rate of this position will increase by $1.00 per hour or 2.5%, whichever is greater, effective July 1, 2025 and July 1, 2026, in accordance with HB13. Pay increases for union positions are contingent upon a ratified collective bargaining agreement.
