If you are the right person for this opportunity, you will have the following knowledge, skills or abilities:
- Must have the professional knowledge, skill and ability to independently interpret codes, rules, laws and policies to attain compliance and enforcement of the state adopted building codes and laws.
- Ability to apply knowledge and skill to a variety of complex building inspection issues and concerns with emphasis on life safety.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Qualified applicants must Possess the following Licenses and/or certifications:
- A first-class stationary engineer’s license issued by the State of Montana and held for a period of three years prior to employment.
- A Second-Class Stationary Engineer’s License issued by the State of Montana, or equivalent.
- A Third-Class Stationary Engineer’s License issued by the State of Montana, or equivalent.
- A National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors Commission
- A valid driver’s license in required.
- Working knowledge of the ASME Boiler and Pressure Code, administrative rules, and state law and ability to interpret same.
- A minimum of ten years of actual experience in the operation of steam engines, steam boilers and steam machinery is required.
Equivalent combinations of education and experience may also be considered on a case-by-case basis.
