- Exemplary written, verbal, and interpersonal skills necessary to communicate and work successfully with courts, legal colleagues, Department staff, board members, legislators, and Montana citizens;
- Demonstrated aptitude for identifying, researching, and analyzing complex legal issues, and directing a course of action to resolve problems;
- Working knowledge of administrative, litigation, and legislative procedures; state and federal statutes, regulations, case law, and constitutional provisions pertinent to the Department’s mission and duties;
- Sound judgment in advising regulatory boards to ensure fair and safe delivery of professional services without imposing unfair and unnecessary burdens on Montana’s professional workforce;
- Knowledge or interest in bankruptcy and collections proceedings.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Your preparation for this opportunity could include a combination of relevant experiences including:
- This position requires a Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited school of law and admittance to the Montana Bar and Federal District Courts.
OR
- Any combination of equivalent experience and education to successfully perform the essential functions of the position will be considered.
