Archivist 2

• Thorough knowledge of modern archival theory, standards and practices and their implementation.
• Knowledge of DACS, EAD, and MARC.
• Knowledge of collection management software programs.
• An understanding of research methods.
• Ability to communicate both simple and complex ideas effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Archival certification (ACA Certified Archivist, SAA Digital Archives Specialist, SAA Arrangement and Description) preferred but not required.

Education: Master’s in Library Science with Archival and or Records Management emphasis or a Master’s in History, or related field, with at least two years of experience in working in the archives field.
