Aggregate Certified Nursing Aide 2

Physical and Environmental Demands:

Work is of medium demand, that involves lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling; stooping; twisting and extensive standing.  *Lift 50# occasionally;  *Lift 15-20# frequently;  *Push/pull 60# occasionally/  *Reach forward and below frequently.  Must have the ability to transfer residents safely.  Must be able to effectively communicate with patients.  May be exposed to blood borne pathogens.  May have to work with uncooperative residents at times. 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (Behaviors):

Required for the first day of work:

·         Knowledge of the aging process and basic anatomy.

·         Knowledge of caregiver role and infection controls.

·         Knowledge of residents’ rights and confidentiality principles.

·         Written and oral communication skills.

·         Ability to provide residents with quality care.

·         Ability to demonstrate patience and empathy.

·         Ability to observe and pay attention to details.

·         Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.

Minimum Qualifications (Education and Experience):

·         High School Diploma or equivalent.

·         Montana CNA certification.

·         Two years CNA experience.

·       Other equivalent combinations of directly related education and experience may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
