Qualifications for this Career Opportunity
- Knowledge of accounting systems including the ability to analyze and interpret data from various reports and information maintained by the system.
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Knowledge of advanced accounting systems and internal control procedures including audits.
- Ability to interpret financial data and formulate solutions/recommendations to resolve issues.
- Ability to operate a personal computer and general office equipment as necessary to complete essential functions, including using spreadsheets, word processing, databases, email, internet, and other computer programs.
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
- Advances spreadsheet and analytical accounting skills.
- Knowledge of procedures of governmental accounting.
- Meet minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or finance.
- Three years relevant financial or accounting experience.
- Other equivalent combinations of directly related education/experience may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Additional Information
This position may be eligible for partial telework within the state of Montana. Specific conditions will be provided by the supervisor and must adhere to state policy.
This position is grant funded through December 31, 2027.
